| Below is another evaluation form I use to help students understand and better prepare their presentations |
| DIRECTIONS: Use this form to guide your oral evaluation of another student’s presentation, but write out the evaluation on another paper so you can keep this form for future use SPEAKER: EVALUATOR: ………….. Presentation TITLE Did it explain what the speaker will say, elicite interest in the subject or give character to the presentation. APPEARANCE Attention (Did Opening remarks grab you) Body (Dress, stance-Did s/he look confident) RAPPORT Was it Established early Credible, believable Relaxed, confident Showed command of the language Respect – How did you feel - gives/gets Relates to Audience Empathy – Did you feel like listening Responsive Were you talked at or with? Understanding Did you understand what was being explained? STRUCTURE Introduction (Told you what to expect) Organization (Was it Easy to follow and understand) Transitions (Moved easily from one topic to another) Conclusion (Included call to action) Asked you to do something? CONTENT Subject (Was it Appropriate for this audience) Amplification (Gave you enough information to understand) VOICE Tone (Was the speaker Easy to listen to?) Volume (Loud enough to be heard easily) DELIVERY NonVerbal Physical (Body Language) Eye contact Did the speaker look at you? Gestures Were gestures appropriate or looked “nervous” Posture Looked in charge of the situation PACE Did it flow in a conversational tone Warmth Did it make you like the speaker? Overall openness in posture HABITS Did anything bother you or was outstanding Vocal? ? Mannerisms? AV Use Did the speaker use any visual/prop/pictures/slidse Value Did the visual/prop/picture/slide or whatever help you understand or keep your attention? PURPOSE Did yu understand why the speaker chose this subject and what you are supposed to do now ? EFFECTIVENESS How well do you think the speaker did? Where you moved? Are you better informed? Where you entertained? Will you “follow the call to action?” Why? Why not? Suggestions on how to improve .
